Skylark cottage provides flexible accommodation for up to 5 people offering the perfect place to stay for families, couples or groups of friends, and located just 20 minutes from Holy Island and Bamburgh.

Your holiday begins with a selection of local and homemade produce along with a homemade cake upon arrival. We have thought of everyone, for families and children there is plenty of safe space to play and explore the natural world, as well as a selection of toys and games. Equally, Skylark Cottage is the perfect secluded and tranquil place for a romantic getaway set deep in the heart of the Northumberland countryside with an opportunity to enjoy the North Northumberland’s  starry nights together. Like all of the accommodation at Laverock Law, Skylark cottage has a wealth of eco friendly features, including heating and hot water from our biomass boiler, solar electricity generation, organic cotton bedding and an electric vehicle charge point to use.

Your stay in Skylark is all about warmth and relaxation, the cottages have been lovingly brought back to life by ourselves with lots of natural wood, individual artworks made by family members and homely touches.

The Living space has a lovely woodburning stove and two large comfy sofas,a  TV/DVD and lots of books/guidebooks and maps. Leading into an open plan well equipped kitchen and dining space which looks out into the south facing suntrap courtyard with seasonal flower pots and roses to bring you colour and scent. The kitchen has all you need including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, denby pottery, offering a place to enjoy family meals and to live well together.

When it comes to bed time there are 3 separate bedrooms, the master bedroom has a handmade pine bed, with magical fairy lights (this can be split into twins if reqd), and like the rest of the cottage, wooden floors, organic cotton bedding and real down duvets, guarantee the best nights sleep. There is a smaller single bedroom, again cosy organic bedding and pine furniture, the perfect place for both children and a single adult, (can also accommodate a cot if needed). The third bedroom is a traditional double, this gives a good combination for extended family holidays or holidays with friends.

Skylark cottage is all on one level and has a large bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath as well as a seperate toilet room.

Outside you have your own garden, always full of birdsong, with seating area to the rear, the shared courtyard at the front and like all the accommodation at laverock Law you can take advantage of the large paddock, spend time together in the woods either by the campfire or on the treeplatform (perfect for afternoon tea, reading or gazing at the fantastic dark skies), or take some time to look after your wellbeing with on site Yoga, Reiki and Saunas in out woodfired Barrel Sauna, all bookable for during your stay.
